Bath Soft Cheese

Its about time we gave a mention to The Bath Soft Cheese company, located just outside the city at Kelston. "BSC" provide us with some fantastic cheeses that we use daily in our sandwiches creating such classics as....

Bath Blue & Red Onion Marmalade, Bath Brie & Bacon, Bath Brie & Cranberry..... Also with guest apperances from time to time of the delicious Wyfe of Bath cheese.

Its great to have such a good local source of high quality cheese - coming from just four miles away from cow to sandwich - hows that for food miles?!
Bath Soft Cheeses are also available in our "Cheese & Chutney" hampers alongside Godminster Cheddar from Bruton and the delicious Perl Las blue cheese from the Adams' at Pontseli, Dyfed.

Organic Hampers from a real shop.....

We often hear people talking about supporting independent businesses and the small shops that sit in the shadow of the "giant shop-chains". When taking a phone order for one of our Organic Hampers today, the customer informed us that it was Google that had pointed her in the direction of our shop (and website!).

Nothing unusual in that but that amongst a plethora of online hamper retailers, the deciding factor was that we were the only Organic hamper provider with an actual shop - not just a warehouse and a computer! We know what goes down well as we see our customers daily and have a chat about things they have enjoyed here and elsewhere.

As a consequence our Organic Hampers contain only the "good stuff" that we and many of our customers know and love - don't worry if you're not in Bath as we can deliver our Organic Hampers nationally as well as locally!

It is important to support the local shops around as without them where would we all be? Everything under one roof from "Sainstrose or Morriscos" wouldnt be much fun would it?

New Sandwich Delivery Vehicle....

Preparations are underway for our new sandwich delivery vehicle, well when we say new really we mean old - 1964 to be exact. In a few weeks time restoration work on our 1964 Vespa scooter will be finished allowing us to deliver with greater speed and range!

Up until now all deliveries of our organic sandwich lunches to local businesses have been done either on foot or by bicycle - however in order to meet demand a faster solution was required - enter the Vespa!

In the meantime we will continue to deliver our fantastic platters of organic sandwiches throughout the City of Bath the hard way!!

Organic Hampers

A good number of people gave the gift of good food this easter in the form of our Organic Hampers. Our Organic Hampers are actually available all year round and can be delivered both locally and nationally

A very good way of expressing thanks, congratulations or love to someone you feel deserves something a little special! (Or maybe you have been bad and are seeking forgiveness!)

Happy Easter

Things have been pretty busy here of late with no time to post news, so in brief:

Simnel Cake is here again, miss it - miss out!

Chocolate Tiffin is also back again!

Coronation Chicken (a recent special) has proved so popular that it is now on our permanent menu - this is a long way from the supermarket style Coronation Chicken sarnies - freshly roasted Organic chicken breast with a homemade dressing of apricot, mango chutney, creme fraiche and Madras spices. There's a few other ingredients in there too, but we aren't about to give away all our secrets!

Soup and Stew making is soon set to give way to salad production. As the weather gets warmer, expect to see more and more salad bowls appearing in the counter. For those who cant live without the soups and stews, why not buy now and freeze for later as a few of our customers have been doing lately.
