All of the products we sell and all of the ingredients we use are Soil Association UK5 Standard Organic Accredited. We are totally committed to Organic. We Only Do Organic. More importantly WE ONLY DO QUALITY ORGANIC. We believe that very often the simplest things in life are the best - food that has NOT been messed around with, genetically modified, sprayed or over processed tastes great!
Local!
Where possible we use suppliers as close to the shop as possible to reduce the amount of food miles involved. luckily for us there is a wealth of top quality Organic Producers nearby!
- Organic Cheeses from 'The Bath Soft Cheese Company' come a total of 4 miles from Cow to Sandwich
- Organic Vintage Cheddar comes 29 miles from Bruton in Somerset
- Organic Vegetables are supplied by J.P. Organics of Bath and sourced as locally as possible as the seasons allow
- Organic Bread for Sandwiches comes 14 miles from Hobbs House Artisan Bakery in Chipping Sodbury
- Organic meat comes from Somerset Organics in Bruton, Somerset
Quality!
We are proud of the items we sell and the ingredients we use, whilst they cost us a lot more than other alternatives, they are in our opinion the best! Other Delicatessen choose alternative ingredients often based on economy, why not ask them where their ingredients come from!
British!
We choose to use predominantly BRITISH PRODUCE - although our climate does not yet allow for year round availability of some things, we use British whenever we can. When it's in season we are using it! Seasonal Soups in winter, Seasonal Salads in summer.
The Environment!
We try to be GREEN. Organically produced food generally has a much less negative effect on the environment. We recycle wherever possible and even compost our food waste (not that there is much). Office deliveries are done either on foot or by Bicycle, in fact that is how we travel to work (most of the time!).
The Shop!
Our shop is located at 12 Broad Street, Bath. All foods are prepared by us, on site in our kitchen. We currently have seating for up to seven, giving great people watching opportunities, so why not come down and enjoy a cup of our fantastic Organic Coffee and a homemade cake!

Best Of British is owned and run by Laura Stapleton and Tom Delaney - we are a truly independent business. As we do everything ourselves we are able to guarantee a consitently high standard of service and produce. We are flexible - we are more than happy to work with clients to provide a tailored service, just ask.
